Want to know why so many people refer to Fairhope as Fauxhope? Consider this: Fauxhope is a tree city. What a joke Fauxhope is more responsible for tree REMOVAL than anyone. The caption is a live oak that HAD a 6 foot 2 inch diameter. It stood proud for decades, if not a century. The tree was on a knoll making it the tallest tree in the area. I was told by city officials that they had no knowledge of its removal. I don’t doubt that. Every vehicle entering and exiting Publix or the neighborhood had the pleasure of seeing the tree while traveling down Parker Road.

Antony Lowery, Baldwin County’s appointed sheriff has been bragging that the sheriff department has developed, and adopted a culture within the department that has taken years to develop. A culture of lies, wrongful incarceration, deadly shootings, investigating themselves and finding themselves innocent 100 percent of the time. A culture that involves blanket immunity, no transparency and absolutely no accountability.

Murray Lawrence Jr has spent more than 20 years in prison for a murder he did not commit. The reason he is still there is because the four men who built the case against him, despite a lack of evidence, now hold higher office today. Court records and the Innocence Project findings show that key exculpatory evidence was suppressed during the trial.
Lowery is a clone of Hoss Mack and the last thing Baldwin County needs is a clone Sheriff. Pay attention this race can break the mold of the good ole boys. Hoss Mack’s record is the same as Lowery’s, they are joined at the hip, or close to it. Lowery likes it under Hoss’s umbrella however he has rightfully inherited Hoss’s horrible record. Before election time you will see the onion peeled back involving Mack and Lowery and it ain’t “perty”.
Baldwin County is seeing a shift from the good ole boy, GOB, culture to a transparent and accountable government. This election has shown that citizens of Baldwin County are fed up with the blatant corruption. Catalyst, aka Scott Boone Consulting, the political promoter of GOB now has the attention of the public. A Catalyst candidate is a GOB candidate, plain and simple. The GOB and Catalyst lost some front teeth in this election.
The only way to effectively dismantle the good ole boy system is vote them out. Years ago a gentleman by the name of Lynn Stacy was the go to guy to get elected, to anything in Baldwin County. Stacy then added two cohorts and formed Stacy, Elliot and Haygood.
