Randy Davis, State Representative, Daphne, since 2002 is about as a good ole boy as they get. Originally Davis was going to run for the Probate Judge for Baldwin County then suddenly pulled out of the race. Catalyst Candidate Lynn Perry took his spot. Now we know why Randy got cold feet. It is interesting that some of the local T.V. stations have not even covered the indictment. Al.com still writes fluff and usually is behind in any Baldwin County news and investigative reporting is unheard of.
My right total reverse shoulder revision went well last Friday. The Birmingham V.A. is the number one V.A. hospital in the United States, I have had 14 operations their. No matter my health conditions I am always humbled by veterans with far worse injuries than myself. I have one more total reverse shoulder on the left side in December, I hope that is it. The Ripp Report hopes to be back on schedule by Freaky Friday.
Today I enter V.A. for my 14th shoulder operation, so if ya do not see a Wonderful Wednesday next week, you will know why. One more operation in December and if I follow the instructions of the doctors, I should be swimming by next summer. FAIRHOPE MEMBER We, the First Christian Catalyst Church of Fairhope CCCF, are gathered here today to mentally co-mingle with one another on the subject of Christian Values. Our congregation is in the midst of a political takeover of the church’s selected candidates for political office in Baldwin County. As you all know, our brother member, Tim Can’t, was defeated and Fairhope has now in control of a Public Servant, that cannot happen. Since the election Church members have done everything they can to disrupt the Fairhope Government and attack the Mayor, they have failed so far, however they have pledged to keep the bullying and obstruction, front and center.
Baldwin County Commission, District No. 3, Please show Tucker Dorsey, not his real name, the exit door. Mr. Dorsey is the equivalent to Mr Burrell in Fairhope. Both men are about both men, they do not represent their constituents and have very poor performance records. Dorsey has burnt so many bridges that it is a miracle that he can find Clarence Burke’s house. Tucker is probable ready to go anyway, he came to office with an empty wallet, now he’s got the big truck, custom glasses and a few million dollars and a new house, all while holding office. Between his many LLC’s, Baldwin County Sewer and his “private” business, it is a wonder he can keep up with County Business or stays out of the pool.
Penny Sales Tax Debacle David Peterson: "I would like to clarify what transpired that led to the Penny Sales Tax being levied by the County Commission in January of 2017. When the BCBOE requested that the Alabama Legislature approve the extension or to make the Tax Permanent the Legislature declined to do so and wanted the Voters to make the decision. The Legislature did agree to extend the tax for 6 months, it was due to expire May 30, 2018, which would allow the BCBOE to not have a lapse in funding until they could get it on the November 2018 General Election Ballot. The BCBOE was not happy with the Legislature's decision so they approached the County Commission to see if they would levy the tax. A deal was then brokered with the Commission to exchange the percentages of the 1984 Penny Sales Tax if they would in return levy the tax. The County Commission opted to honor their request, this exchange cost the BCBOE around $4 million dollars a year in funding which now goes to the County Commission. I was in attendance at a town hall meeting in Robertsdale, sponsored by Senator Albrittion, when Mr. Tyler was ask why they agreed to the swap in funding. His reply was "Out of fear the Voters would not approve the extension or to make permanent the tax". With this being said it greatly concerns me that if elected Mr. Elliot will carry this mindset to Montgomery that the Voters are not capable of making the right decision at the polls, something to think very hard about folks!!!"
