YOU'RE FIRED

To Alabama Ethics Commission Statement of Facts: July 29, 2016 I reference to: in particular paragraphs 15 and 16. I realize the Commission pays little attention to print media and you rely on your own investigation to reach a determination, or not, as to any violations of Ethics. I do however hope the very good investigative reporting of Eric Mann, Lagniappe, assists you in what appears a rather obvious conclusion.

A LEGAL WIN FOR FAIRHOPE CITIZENS WHO OPPOSE FLY CREEK APARTMENTS

In June of this year, the Planning and Zoning Board expressed their frustration with citizens of Fairhope who defend themselves by legal means. Friends of Fly Creek, Plaintiffs — and certainly friends of the public, brought a lawsuit against the City of Fairhope, Fairhope Planning and Zoning, Fairhope City Council, and Leaf River group LLC, Defendants. The Defendants in turn moved to dismiss the lawsuit all together. Planning and Zoning doubled down on their decision, calling the lawsuit "frivolous."

FRAUD

FRAUD

Webster’s Dictionary's definition of fraud reads: "Deceit; trickery; cheating, intentional deception to cause a person to give up property or some lawful right. Something said to deceive; trick; artifice. A person who deceives or is not what he pretends to be; imposter; cheat." Mayor Tim F. Kant fits this definition to a tee; in fact the city has been sued for fraud numerous times. Fairhope files second suit against former insurer The city of Fairhope filed a complaint Sept. 22 against Alabama Municipal Insurance Corporation, its former insurer, for legal fees stemming from a previous complaint against the city in 2013.
WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY

WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY

The article posted by Fairhope Times that was reposted on Ripp Report resulted in many people taking issue with my innuendo, ”The Governor had a special assistant, just saying” was radically misunderstood by some folks. Some took it as having a sexual connotation and even brought up adultery. My reference to the governor assistant was — look at the trouble he has heaped on himself and his assistant. He has yet to be charged with anything. Take your minds out of the gutter.
DEMAND THE TRUTH

DEMAND THE TRUTH

Complaint Statement: July 7, 2016 State of Alabama Ethics Commission First let me say I have taken your online ethics course and it is pretty clear that elected officials should not be engaging in municipal contracts in their districts, particularly if said contract directly and positively contributes to the direct income of that official. Mr. Hubbard has just been convicted for doing the exact thing. Senator Pittman has maintained debris removal contracts with the city of Fairhope since 2004, except for one period where his business partner Bob James held the contract. Mr. Pittman and the Mayor of Fairhope has been subject of BP fraud investigation. The FBI conducted an investigation and that investigation is now in the hands of special prosecutor for the Alabama Attorney General's office, Mr. Matt Hart. During the FBI investigation Mr. Pittman admitted that it was poor judgement on his part and that he would not in the future obtain contracts from his district or constituents. He broke that promise and again bid on Fairhope debris removal contracts. He supported his efforts by producing a letter from the Ethics Commission rendering an opinion. That letter was an opinion based on Ethics Commission rules; however the Mayor of Fairhope said the letter was permission for the Senator to go ahead. Everything was legal. That is not what the letter stated. The Mayor and Senator have also said the Ethics Commission has exonerated them of any guilt relating to the BP Fraud claim, again untrue.

THERE ARE MORE OF US THAN THEM

THERE ARE MORE OF US THAN THEM

US are the taxpayers and honest citizens; THEM are the good ole boys. In the last Fairhope election, only 5500 people voted in the city elections, of those Mayor Kant “questionably” received 3026 votes. Only 30% to 35% of the registered voters voted, leaving 65 to 70% not voting at all. These are the voters who can stop the mayor’s corruption and end an era of good ole boys who are fleecing taxpayers right and left. The mayor’s base has shrunk and public confidence in the mayor is virtually nonexistent. Several mayoral candidates are planning to run against the mayor; however, they believe it to be prudent to announce their candidacy closer to the qualification date. Look closely at the statistics. They favor US. A neighborhood like Rock Creek can swing the election. If Sandy Ford, Plantation Pines and the Woodlands jump on board, a new Fairhope will be born.
