The news lately has been focused on our Me Ma Governor firing one of the very few reputable individuals working in our corrupt alabama system. She used 'extreme Executive Power' to fire Alabama Department of Veterans Affairs Director Kent Davis.
Tom Albritton, the head of the Alabama Ethics Commission, is accused of unethical behavior related to a trust. Despite this, he remains in office with a high salary and even teaches ethics. Some people think he’s a classic case of a sociopath.
If you are caught stealing 10 dollars from Wal-Mart, YOU are going to jail. If you steal 3.2 Million and distribute those funds to Judges, Bankers, Lawyers and Politicians by using a trust, that you are a trustee of, KNOW, you could get away with it, in Alabama. Especially if you happen to be the Executive Director of the Ethics Commission, Mr. Tom Albritton.

Mr Steve Marshall Dear Sir:
I wish to address two complaints that I have submitted to your office:
First is the complaint I filed with your office, Attention Clark Morris, in Sept. 2022 against Alabama Ethics Commissions Executive Director Mr Tom Albrittion. I am aware of the lawsuit your office has filed against him, however Mr. Albritton has remained the executive director of the ethics commission, with a handsome paycheck. This singular hypocritical fact disgraces the ethics commission and erodes any function or ethical standards the commission once had.
Alabama faces accusations of corruption, particularly concerning the head of the Ethics Commission who remains in his position despite legal issues. The lawsuit against him raises concerns about a potential cover-up and lack of accountability within the state's legal system.
DUI, Tax man and rouge State Senator Chris Elliott has lost more than his hair. He is again carrying the water for Sheriff Hoss Mack. Oh, by the way Elliott's wife has worked for the sheriff since Chris was elected to office in Baldwin County. Sheriff Hoss Mack is the political director behind anything happening in Baldwin County.
The fifth commissioner may be a good idea but allowing Elliott to spearhead this attempt should set fire to your hair.
The Mabel Amos Charitable Trust was set up to help kids, who may have had the smarts, but not the money, to go to college, in Alabama. What started as a small well intended trust turned out to be a flush vehicle of greed and political corruption.
Alabama’s recipe for corruption If I had to bake an “Alabama Corruption Cake” the recipe would probably go something like this: 2 parts shiftless opportunists, 2 parts complicit appointed boards and agencies, 1 part
If a herd of elephants were to roam loose in Alabama, most news sources could not find them. Probably the biggest story, political story, is the evidence emerging about the Bar Association and the Ethics Executive Director. Only Lagniappe has had the balls to print the facts.
The Attorney General has only covered the backs of the Bar and Ethics, no criminal charges have been filed.
Now a civil lawsuit has been filed, outlining the charges against the Ethics Director.
Read these articles and you will see why Alabama is head over heels, above any state, when it comes to political corruption. What makes it worse is the small minded press in the state. Journalist in Alabama appear to only cover certain news. They favor their own commentary and shy away from news “scoops” from another local news source. They are ignoring the elephants on Goat Hill.
Where is Kyle Whitmire, John Archabald, John Sharp?
Alabama has earned it’s reputation as the most corrupt state in the United States. What solidifies Alabama’s position is a perfect puzzle, all tightly fit together with inept, lazy, hypocritical elected officials and oversight agencies. These agencies cost taxpayers millions for absolutely nothing.
The Attorney General, Ethics Commission and Bar Association have earned a reputation of “protecting” it’s fellow inept, hypocritical allies, that are accused of political corruption. The FBI and the Federal Courts deserve a piece of the puzzle for turning a blind eye, or maybe not even opening their eyes and reading what is being published.
