WRONG BALL

WRONG BALL

Place one in the County Commissioner’s race is a classic example of getting what you wished for and it backfiring. Mr Frank Burt has solidly held this position since 1988, wow, 29 years. Mr. Burt is intent on holding that position. I was hoping for change and that Mr. Burt would retire and the seat open for several new candidates. Catalyst had other plans, once they learned Mr. Burt was seriously running they recruited Jeb Ball as their new foot solider and abandoned Burt, that say’s a lot.
MID-TERM ELECTIONS - VOTE INCUMBENTS OUT

MID-TERM ELECTIONS - VOTE INCUMBENTS OUT

Baldwin County will be voting for all four county commissioners seats. The Ripp Report will be posting meet and greets for many candidates, no charge. Any comments, such as this, is the sole responsibility of the Ripp Report. County commission seat three, presently held by Tucker Dorsey, has several candidates trying to unseat Mr Dorsey. A vote for Tucker Dorsey is a vote for Clarence Burke, Baldwin County Sewer, and Catalyst.

BALDWIN COUNTY FAMILY COURT

BALDWIN COUNTY FAMILY COURT

Just when you thought there was no hope for the Baldwin County Family Court, Judge Thomason announces she is running for Court of Appeals position vacated by Craig Pittman who is retiring. Of course another court will inherit her incompetence but at least she won’t be making decisions about the welfare of children. It should be expected if she looses the election Nov. 2018, she probably will re run for her present position again.
FAKE NEWS AND RETALIATION

FAKE NEWS AND RETALIATION

First let me announce that no longer will the Ripp Report accept comments from Jester 666 and the Truth teller, most likely one in the same. Their comments add nothing to the subjects at hand and the personal attacks, some sexiest, will not be tolerated. Their comments are meant to distract from the subject at hand. They Do represent what is NOT needed in Fairhope or Baldwin County. They will continue to filter into the site from time to time and we will continue to eliminate them.
GOB COUP

GOB COUP

Fairhope politics has taken on a coup mentality. Mayor Wilson upset the apple cart of two political groups: Tim Kant followers, and Jack Burrell and his cronies, both supported by Catalyst. Kant followers have fallen off in recent years and Mr Burrell was assured by Kant he would be the next mayor, along with two others. Jack hedged his position by playing both sides to his benefit however mayor Wilson winning was not in the cards.

RECUSE YOURSELF

RECUSE YOURSELF

COFAIRHOPE: ATTENTION MAYOR AND COUNCIL Dear Mayor and Council please take your positions seriously and understand that a part of your responsibilities is to discipline yourselves. The Fairhope City Council in the past has ignored any conflicts of interest, they may have, while voting on issues that they are personally involved with or have a business interest related to the applicant. The last council meeting had several members of the council that had conflicts of interest when it came to the voting on the extension of the sunset clause related to Fly Creek Apartments.
