The newly elected State Senator is rumored to have used the proposed travel expenditure to strong arm other legislators, by holding up other bills being considered. It is not nice to piss off Goat Hill, especially when your a lamb.
An extra bonus for the TAX MAN is the air miles he will accumulate, and you can be assured he will use them for future travel.

Medicaid expansion and Bentley"s $3 billion blunder You don"t need a task force to tell which way the wind blows.
When it comes to dirty hands, Baldwin County cannot be beat. Our new State Senator the TAX MAN, Elliott, hands are as dirty as they can get. The lottery and taxes Elliott supports does nothing for education. The “Education” Lottery has been dissolved into a lottery to pay past debts of the State, as far back as 2013. WHAT EDUCATION LOTTERY?
Alabama is going to give the lottery away to the highest bidder, the Poach Creek Indians. First we have the “TAX MAN” Chris Elliott, he prefers the title State Senator, saying he has solved the School separation lawsuit between Gulf Shores and Baldwin County Superintendent Eddie Tyler. The reason there is a lawsuit is that Mr Tyler went back on his published promise to abide by the decision of the State Board of Education.
Baldwin County is the piggy-Bank for Goat Hill supported by the same elected officials, we elected, to represent us. The Tax Man Chris Elliott, as a county commissioner, taxed the citizens of Baldwin County without any vote of his constituents. Mr Elliott then raided the 1% school tax to the tune of 200,000 dollars a year, for the county. He is living up to his reputation as the Tax Man by supporting the gas tax, again without any vote by the public.
