It is no surprise that Governor Kay Ivey believed all the BS Hoss Mack told her. Someone woke up Ivy and said, “sign here, say this.” She ignored all the letters to the appointment board and 2 pending federal lawsuits involving Baldwin County Sheriff Office, BCSO, and their Major Crimes Unit. She ignored the wrongful conviction of Murray Lawrence. She also ignored the clown show case of Steve Nodine which involved the same Prosecutor, Sheriff and Judge involved in the case of Murray Lawrence’s wrongful conviction.
First I would like to thank all the people who have warned me of retaliation that I may receive for writing the truth about BCSO and Sheriff Mack. Let me assure you that I have talked with the Attorney General’s office, FBI and other federal officials. I not only talked with them but provided documents. In addition we have talked with CNN, Investigative reporters, not in Alabama, Netflix and several producers that may be interested in a documentary.
Finally! For multiple reasons, Sheriff Hoss Mack is retiring. It could be the Federal investigation, the internal investigation, wrongful conviction, federal Lawsuit of Johnathan Victor and a myriad of internal problems within BCSO involving morals, accountability, transparency and of course the GOB, Good ole Boy culture that permeates the entire department.
Now is the time for the deputies to put forward who they want as Sheriff. Mack had Andre set up for the position however Andre could not keep his pants up.
Many people have seen the movie Just Mercy, a true story of the wrongful conviction of Walter McMillan, Baldwin County, Alabama. A second case that parallels the Just Mercy story is that of Murray Lawrence Jr, Fairhope, Alabama, Baldwin County. This case involves the Judge, Prosecutor and Sheriff, lead investigator at the time of withholding evidence from the defense, an inefficient police investigation. Please take a few minutes and review the links below, they will inform you of the facts of the wrongful conviction.
It seems the Baldwin County Sheriff's Department has internal hanky panky problems. One of the top officers in the Sheriff's Department has been having a little extra curricular activity with a subordinate female employee, who is married to a fellow officer. No official action by the sheriff has been taken, in fact, looks like it's covered up from the public. Why should we care? Because the Sheriff's Department is well known for cover ups.
The Baldwin County District Attorney Robert Wilters, was the presiding Judge in the Murray Lawrence case. Sheriff Hoss Mack was the lead investigator and David Whetstone was the prosecutor. They all signed a coroners report in relation to the exhumed body of Brandon Hastings. This report was recently found, however during the trial it was never provided to the defense. This was not an inadvertent mistake. Suppressing the report from the defense was willful and deliberate and deprived the defense of valuable information supporting the cause of death as suffocation, NOT gunshot.
Mr Steve Marshall Dear Sir:
I wish to address two complaints that I have submitted to your office:
First is the complaint I filed with your office, Attention Clark Morris, in Sept. 2022 against Alabama Ethics Commissions Executive Director Mr Tom Albrittion. I am aware of the lawsuit your office has filed against him, however Mr. Albritton has remained the executive director of the ethics commission, with a handsome paycheck. This singular hypocritical fact disgraces the ethics commission and erodes any function or ethical standards the commission once had.
Murray Lawrence was wrongly convicted and has been in jail for over 20 years. New evidence suggests his innocence, and a legal filing has been submitted to challenge his conviction.
That’s how long Murray Bubba Lawrence has been in jail for a crime he did not commit. Baldwin County Sheriff Hoss Mack, the Prosecutor, David Whetstone and the Judge, currently the District Attorney, Robert Wilters are responsible. There is every reason to believe that they conspired to withhold vital information from the defense that resulted in an innocent man spending 7432 days, so far, in jail.

Today we have an audio story for you that has been a long, long time coming. Murray "Bubba" Lawrence Jr was convicted of the murder of Brandon Hastings who disappeared from Foley, Alabama during Spring Break of 2003 and whose body was found a week later near Guitier/Vancleave, Mississippi. The State convicted Lawrence on the word of a co-conspirator, a "Deal With The Devil" according to David Whetstone Baldwin County District Attorney circa 2003.
