COFAIRHOPE: ATTENTION MAYOR AND COUNCIL
Dear Mayor and Council please take your positions seriously and understand that a part of your responsibilities is to discipline yourselves. The Fairhope City Council in the past has ignored any conflicts of interest, they may have, while voting on issues that they are personally involved with or have a business interest related to the applicant.
The last council meeting had several members of the council that had conflicts of interest when it came to the voting on the extension of the sunset clause related to Fly Creek Apartments.
Dear Fairhope City Council:
Recently several articles have been written in reference to Councilman Kevin Boone and the business connections he has through several LLC to individuals and engineering company Preble-Rish that are conflicts of interest. Mr. Boone has had these connections through the LLC’s for many years and has never acknowledged them or recuse himself from voting on any issues that came before him as a councilman or during his participation with planning and zoning.
The Ripp Report and Baldwin County Legal Eagle is a non-profit exposing political and judicial corruption. We also have helped consumers with complaints about consumer products or services. There are no paid staff and no outer office expenses, 100% of any donation goes towards the non-profit. The majority of operating capital I personally donate, which is not reimbursed.
We are independent and cannot be influenced by money or power. Our objective is to expose issues that make you mad as hell and prompt a reaction.

I must preface this commentary by first repeating something that inspired The Ripp Report many years ago. The realization that Baldwin County was extremely corrupt and that of the 14 municipalities of Baldwin County, Fairhope was the center of the corruption and majority of corrupt “connected,” players.
Mayor Kant, after receiving the official news that he lost his re-election bid, promised a smooth transition from his administration to the new administration, which takes over Nov. 7th. The Mayor, like much of the community, is slowly coming out of shock; and he’s still taking orders from his good ole boy club and a remora-like gaggle of entitled attorneys.
The Mayor’s first transition move was his announcement of a Performing Arts Center:
